When Should I Book By?

Answer

A $100 per adult non-refundable deposit is required to secure a reservation and is due by August 1st, 2022. There is some flexibility with this due date however, we recommend booking your room sooner rather than later as we do have a limited amount of discounted rooms. THIS RESORT IS VERY POPULAR AND OFTEN SELLS OUT. We are only holding a certain number of room categories at a discounted rate. Our amazing agent, Maeghen, will assist you through this whole process.

Do I have to stay at Excellence Riviera Cancun?

Answer

Excellence requires all guests attending the wedding to stay at their resort. They are an all-inclusive resort which means all the food and alcohol you could want is included! If you cannot stay at the resort for a particular reason, please let me know ASAP. This is not something we would recommend, but it is possible. HOWEVER, there are restrictions. Only so many guests are able to attend who are not staying at the resort. If you know for sure you will staying off the resort, let us know ASAP. Also, you will need to purchase an Event Pass as it will be required for entrance! This pass will permit access ONLY an hour prior to the wedding and will be good up to 5 hours or until 11:00 pm.

When should I plan on arriving at the resort and how many nights should I stay?

Answer

The duration of your stay is entirely up to you however we recommend arriving on December 7th or earlier in the day on December 8th so you have plenty of time to relax and settle in before the welcome party on the evening of the 8th! The Excellence Riviera Cancun has a 3-night minimum but we invite you to stay longer if possible. We want this to be a nice vacation for you in addition to the wedding festivities, so you are more than welcome to stay at the resort for as long as you like; just indicate how many nights you want to stay when you book!

Your Booking website only lists 3 different types of rooms. Can I book a different room category?

Answer

Yes, we have chosen the most economical room categories for our guests for the initial room block but you can most certainly book a higher level room category with the group discount rate. Our travel agent, Maeghen, can help get that booked for you so please reach out to her with the desired room category and dates you would like to stay :)

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Although we are sad to miss out on seeing all the kids, Excellence Riviera Cancun is an adults-only (18+) resort.

What time is check in and check out at the resort?

Answer

Check in time is 3pm and check out is at noon. If you arrive to the resort early on check-in day and your room isn't ready yet, staff will hold onto your luggage for you and you can still enjoy the pools, bars, and restaurants. Be sure to pack your swimsuit and a change of clothes in your carry-on so you can head straight to the pool or beach upon arrival!

We completely understand! Our sincerest hope is that no one feels guilty, as you must make the best decision for your family, prior obligations, and your budget. Do I Need a Passport?

Flight prices fluctuate! We recommend checking your favorite flight websites periodically to monitor flight prices to try to get the best rate. Our travel agent Maeghen can also help assist with this and any questions you may have regarding flights.

Is there transportation to and from the airport to the resort?

Answer

Our travel agent can book round trip transportation for you however, if you would prefer to book transportation on your own, we recommend Kalido Travel. What Do I Wear To The Wedding?

Answer

Attire: Beach Semi-Formal It will be a beach party! Think cocktail dresses, dressy jumpsuits, and suits or slacks. Although we will be getting married on the beach, we do ask that you stay away from jeans, shorts, flip flops, tanks, t-shirts, and bathing suits during the ceremony. It will also be a bit cooler at night. We recommend wedges or dressy sandals for women. Thank you for your understanding!

What Will The Weather Be Like?

Daily temperatures in December range from a high of 80°F (27°C) and a low of 75°F (24°C). Days are warm, nights are cool and comfortable, and skies are typically sunny and clear. Rain is usually fleeting, with mostly bright days. Beaches are beautiful with comfortable temps for swimming and good visibility for snorkeling and diving.

The resort offers some activities at no additional cost: kayaking, paddle boarding, sunrise yoga, dance lessons, archery classes, wind-surfing, beach volleyball, live concerts at night, themed parties each night, and much more! They also have additional activities at a cost like parasailing, pottery painting classes, and more. The Excellence Collection App has a daily schedule of activities and entertainment that you can download to get an idea beforehand and during the trip.
