We met at Northeastern University in a required class that neither of us were very interested in. We didn't know anyone in the class and were assigned a semester-long project with weekly meetings. These meetings turned into extended lunches and by the time summer came, Brittany's friends gently helped her realize that she had fallen for Karan. What else could explain her sudden desire to talk incessantly about this project? Our first date at 22 meant a run along the Charles followed by a not-so-fancy dinner dinner at Tavern on the Square. We soon started to spend much of our free time together - walks along the river, late night movies, dinners at Christopher's, the Franklin Cafe, and Hammersley's. Karan met all of Brittany's friends at a time when most of them were single, which led to him graciously being the designated driver for their post-graduation nights out. It was the perfect summer. Brittany knew Karan was the one when she returned from a European trip at the end of summer with food poisoning. Though they had only been together for a few months, Karan took care of her in one of her least glamorous moments. Karan knew Brittany was the one when he realized that she laughed at all of his jokes and was inspired by his plans to run his own company one day. We met each other's families that summer and were instantly welcomed into their hearts and homes. Eight years later, we are living together with our fur son Cudi and enjoying the life we'd always imagined. We've been lucky enough to start to travel the world together while we pursue our personal and professional goals. We love you all and cannot wait to include you in our special weekend.
