Brittany and Jorge had been planning to go to Michoacán in March. Which is a place that holds a special place in both of their hearts. A place where they had met in 2017 at a family members quinceañera. This would be their second year going together. Little did Brittany know that Jorge would be proposing on this trip. Weeks before leaving Jorge kept telling Brittany to wear a nice outfit on Sunday, she was a little confused but listened. On March 17, 2024 Jorge woke Brittany up early so they could get ready and leave to go eat. Little did Brittany know this day Jorge would be proposing. Still very confused Brittany woke up and was getting ready extra slowly because she had no idea what was going on. Brittany did not know that the people who were going to go decorate were waiting for them to leave since 8 in the morning. They then leave to go eat in Sahuayo at La Cascada. Jorge’s friend Freddy had met them there which threw Brittany off a little bit so she assumed they were just meeting him there for lunch. They hung out and Jorge kept getting up to use the “restroom” but was calling his cousin Javier to see how things were going. They then headed back and Brittany ended up falling asleep on the way to La Raya. As they’re getting closer Brittany wakes up and Jorge pulls over and says “this is where the fun begins.” Brittany then gets really nervous and starts to ask if they’re celebrating their anniversary. Which Brittany thought was odd. Jorge proceeds to blindfold Brittany and continues to drive to their destination. Nervously Jorge then gets Brittany off the car and leads her into what would be the most beautiful proposal that he had planned at his grandparents house. Brittany could hear people talking in the back and she tells Jorge “I hear people.” Jorge says “don’t worry just keep walking.” Jorge then leaves Brittany standing there, grabs the ring, and then asks Brittany to take the blindfold off. Brittany takes off the blindfold and Jorge is there on one knee with teary eyes asking “will you marry me?” Which was the easiest “YES!” for Brittany. Afterwards Jorge had planned a celebration for them to enjoy with their loved ones. This is one of their favorite memories together!
