Our journey started through a mutual friend, Heidi, and from the moment we met, there was an undeniable connection. Our first date was sweet and simple—Chick-fil-A during my lunch break from fire school in Cleveland. We spent the afternoon talking, laughing, and before we even knew it, we were holding hands on the walk back to the car. In the middle of the parking lot, he stopped and gave me our first kiss. Even though it was early, I knew that night that I had found the one. It wasn’t just a feeling; it was more like a knowing. The proposal came on the day after Valentine’s Day. He had decorated the calf barn with flowers and candles—a beautiful, intimate surprise. It was simple but perfect, just like us. We’ve been dating for almost nine months now, and we still can’t believe how quickly it’s all come together. We never imagined we’d be planning our wedding after just a few months of dating, but here we are, ready to spend forever together.
