Brittany was born and raised in Chattanooga, TN, and in 2019, she took a big step by moving to Johnson City on her own. She recently returned to school and proudly earned her Registered Medical Assistant certification. She met Johnny at his 20th birthday party while tagging along with a close friend, and they soon became friends and coworkers. During their carpool rides, Johnny would constantly play Alicia Keys’ “If I Ain’t Got You” as a not-so-subtle hint that he liked her—though Brittany didn’t catch on for nearly a year, despite her friends insisting it was obvious. If only she knew then what she knows now!
John VanHoever
Groom
John was born in Des Moines, Iowa, but moved to Johnson City, TN at the age of four. He graduated from ETSU in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science degree and now works as a Quality Control Analyst II at Advarra. He met Brittany in the summer of 2020 at his 20th birthday party, when a mutual friend brought her along. They became close friends and later worked together at Captain’s Table, a seafood restaurant overlooking Watauga Lake—the place both the bride and groom will tell you they truly fell in love
Anna Talley
Maid of Honor
Brittany and Anna have been close since 2nd and 3rd grade, growing up just a house apart and forming a bond like sisters. Over the years, Anna has played a special role in Brittany’s life, always present for her biggest milestones. Their friendship has stood the test of time, filled with love, laughter, and shared memories. A childhood dream comes true as Anna stands by Brittany’s side as her maid of honor.
Logan Childers
Best Man
John and Logan went to the same high school but it was later when Logan was dating Brittany's roommate and all four became really close friends. John considers Logan one of his best friends. The bride and groom are very thankful for his service in the U.S. Navy and are honored to have Logan standing with them on this special day.
Arin Mabry
Matron of Honor
Brittany and Arin have been close since high school, sharing years of memories and milestones. Arin’s unwavering love and support have carried Brittany through some of life’s hardest and most joyful moments. She always shows up wholeheartedly for the people she loves. Brittany is truly honored to have Arin standing by her side on such a special day.
Dan Tidd

Dan is one of John's three older siblings. In fact, he is the closest in age by seventeen years. Dan introduced John to his love of Nintendo games, they spent many days playing their favorites; Super Smash Bros & Zelda. John has always looked up to Dan & appreciates all the things he's learned from his big brother. John is excited to have Dan standing next to him.
Skylar Porter
Bridesmaid
Brittany and Skylar first met when Brittany moved to Johnson City and the two worked together at Cootie Brown’s for three years. They quickly bonded over shared interests and the experience of being new in town. Their friendship has remained strong, and they still stay in regular touch even with Skylar now living in Maine.
Tre' Pelfrey

Tre' is one of Brittany's older brothers. Although older, Brittany has always referred to him as her "little big" brother. Tre' has always been Brittany's biggest fan & supporter...even when she was being an annoying little sister. Tre' is excited to welcome the Groom as a brother and stand next to him on his little sister's special day.
Bronson Pelfrey

Bronson, Brittany’s oldest brother, currently serves in the U.S. Navy and shares a strong bond with Johnny —they’ve grown to be close friends over the years. From early on, Britt and Johnny knew they wanted Bronson to play a meaningful role in their wedding. Honored by their request, he’ll be officiating the ceremony. Bronson is ecstatic to unite the couple he cares so deeply about.
Dallas
Ring Bearer
Brittany has had Dallas, her beloved pup, for eight years—and he quickly becomes everyone’s favorite the moment they meet him. With his gentle spirit and love for attention, he’s truly one of a kind. Though he now lives with the bride’s parents, he’ll always be Brittany’s first “baby.” Dallas is thrilled to be part of the big day, proudly wearing his special outfit as he delivers the rings to the bride and groom.
