After years of online dating, one swipe was finally a success. We started talking in early October of 2023. John was living in Idaho and Brittany was living in Utah, so it took a few weeks to meet in person. Once we did, we started to spend every weekend together and have been together ever since. After months of just spending weekends together we celebrated John's graduation from BYU Idaho, which meant he could move out of Idaho to join Brittany in Utah. Then we really became inseparable. We traveled to New Jersey (by way of a 30 hour nonstop road trip) and then on to Europe for a week in the summer. Our European trip started in Luxembourg and then continued in Germany where we were visiting John's family. They welcomed Brittany right in (even though she was very shy at first) and they decided that Brittany and John should go home engaged! With their help John popped the question and Brittany said yes!
