Just outside of downtown lies the rustic, Adirondack influenced, Saratoga Winery. There is typically live music on Friday and Saturday nights. Wine, Craft Beer, and wood fired pizza is served. The winery offers tastings and uses grapes mostly from the Finger Lakes region to make a range of wines.
30 minutes north of Saratoga lies Lake George, a well-known summertime jewel of Upstate New York and part of the Adirondack mountain region. On the shore, the Fort William Henry Museum is a restored British fort, built in 1755. Nearby, Million Dollar Beach has picnic areas, a boat launch, and offers a beautiful lake tour aboard the steamboat, The Minnie-Ha-Ha. The Prospect Mountain Veterans Memorial Highway offers views of the lake and the Adirondack High Peaks.
The highlight of summer in Saratoga is the summer racing meet, featuring world class thoroughbred horse racing. Throngs of people from all over the world gather at the Race Track with one common interest -- to hear "And they're off!" Adrenaline pumps as the crowd goes wild with cheers of encouragement to their favorite picks of the season.
Each racing day of the summer meet, you can enjoy the popular buffet breakfast on The Porch of the Clubhouse at Saratoga Race Course, tours of the race course grounds, and historic stable areas from 7 to 9:30 am. This gives you the unique opportunity to dine trackside while you watch the horses work out, and receive a historical overview of the property's highlights, including unique architecture, landscapes, and traditions!

Broadway is often referred to as "downtown", as it is the main strip of the city. It houses a variety of popular historic buildings, art galleries, boutiques, bars and restaurants. It has recently been voted one of the 10 best main streets in America! In 1979 it was recognized as a historic district and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. A popular brewpub located right on Broadway in downtown Saratoga Springs. A hotspot for locals due to its outdoor beer garden, creative menu, and rotating craft beer taps. Druthers brews all of its hand crafted beers on site.
This shop on Broadway has a great selection of high-fashion fascinators, and horse racing hats for men and women. It is pricey, but fun to stop into nonetheless. After all, it doesn't matter if your horse loses as long as you look good!
A nice park situated on Broadway to sit and relax, or have a picnic. There's a few different monuments, mineral springs, and plenty of open green space. There's also a museum, a fountain, an enclosed carousel, and the historical Canfield Casino housed here. If you stop at the visitors center across the street, they'll give you a short brochure that describes the monuments and park history, and a little cup to taste the spring water. There are spigots throughout the park where you can sample the water. This quaint park can be explored within 20-30 minutes.

The National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame was founded in 1951 in Saratoga Springs, New York, to honor the achievements of American Thoroughbred race horses, jockeys, and trainers. The museum offers tours and a Horse Racing simulator. It also houses a large collection of art, artifacts, and memorabilia that document the history of horse racing from the eighteenth century to the present.
The National Museum of Dance opened in 1986 and is the only museum in the country dedicated solely to dance. It contains photographs, videos, artifacts, costumes and biographies. The museum is located in the former Washington Bath House and was founded by Saratoga Springs' philanthropist, Marylou Whitney

Visit the year-round battlefield visitor center with film, light map, museum exhibits, and gift shop; tour the scenic 10-mile auto and bike road, hike historic paths. During the summer, also visit Victory Woods and the 155' Saratoga Monument (in Victory) with panoramic views of the Hudson Valley and take a free guided tour of General Philip Schuyler's 1777 home (Schuylerville).
