We met at the Blind Rhino, a sports bar in Norwalk. Jerry grew up in Norwalk however, it was Brittany's first time visiting. Jerry was out with his brother and friends after his neice's 4th birthday party and Brittany was out with a friend who just moved to the city, celebrating the end of busy season after issuing her last few audit reports that morning. We were both tired and if it weren't for our friends, we would not have been out that night. Brittany first met Jerry's brother and best friend, Jay and Ben, who made room at the bar to let us order our first drink. After getting her first drink, Brittany turned to walk away from the bar and was instantly stopped by a man. He looked at her with a big smile on his face and said 'Hi, I'm Jerry what's your name?' We spent the rest of the night talking and exchanged numbers at the end of the night. We might not agree on every detail from our first night....or the next few weeks after, however, we can both agree that we felt the love and the connection from that very first greeting!

We were on our way to Bradford, NH to spend the weekend at Jerry's family's cabin. We planned to leave early enough to catch the sunset at on Lake Kezar and let Princeton swim after the long car ride. Brittany was distracted throwing sticks in the lake for Princeton to swim after and taking many pictures of him with the beautiful backdrop. She turned around when Jerry called her name to find him on one knee with a ring in his hand. He captured the entire moment on a go pro video that was set up behind him! Everything about that night was perfect...the weather, the location, the sunset and the intimacy since we were the only ones at the lake! We are so blessed to have each of you in our lives and would love for you join us as we enter our next chapter as the Petrini's!
