City Hall only allows four guests, so only our immediate family will be at the ceremony. We're excited to celebrate with you at the cocktail party!
That's right! We wanted to put our time and energy into the most fun part of the celebration, and for us, that means chatting and hanging with our friends and family. For guests who don't live in NYC, we know it's a big ask for you to come all the way here just to attend a cocktail party. While we'd love to see you, we won't be offended if you decide to celebrate in spirit (really!).
Please dress in cocktail attire. That means non-jean pants, nice shirts, optional tie and jacket, skirts and dresses, dressy jumpsuits, etc.
We will have hors d'oeuvres and dessert at our celebration, but there won't be a full dinner. Check the Things To Do section for restaurant recommendations near the venue.
It wouldn't be much of a cocktail party without cocktails! We will have beer, wine, cocktails, and NA beverages.
NYC has a law that severely limits short-term Airbnb rentals. You can book a room, but not an entire apartment. No more than two guests are permitted, and you'd be sharing the apartment with the host. You can read more about it here: https://www.thecity.nyc/2023/08/15/how-new-airbnb-registration-system-works/
New York City is blessed (and cursed?) with three local airports: LaGuardia, JFK, and Newark. Our suggestion is to stick to LaGuardia or JFK, then take a cab to your lodgings. If you want to play on expert mode, there are public transit options from both airports into Downtown Brooklyn and Manhattan, and Google Maps will be your best guide.
We are happy to have your kids join the celebration, just know it will be at a loud bar.
