Italy Travel Guide for April 2025

After living and traveling through Italy, I've put together my best recommendations and tips in a 56-page guide so you get the most out of your time in this gorgeous country!

Flight

Rome (FCO)

Rome (FCO) airport will likely be the most affordable and convenient airport to fly into when arriving in Italy. You can spend a couple of days exploring the Eternal City before hopping on a train to Assisi.

Train

Trenitalia

Catch the train from Rome, Florence, or Milan and take it to Assisi. The station is 3 miles (5 km) from the center of town. You can take a C bus for 1.30€ to the center of town or a taxi for around 15€.
