So....there are a lot of thoughts about people meeting online, but it worked for Brittany and Guy. Brittany would tell you that she really doesn't even know how she ended up on Match.com. Maybe it was just curiosity, but she was not thinking she would meet the right "Guy" online. I am sure Guy would tell you that he wasn't looking for anything serious, but after a few dates with women who weren't Brittany, Guy prayed that God would send him a wife. Guy sent a few messages to Brittany on Match.com and Brittany finally responded. The first phone conversation led to a hike up Stone Mountain. You really get to know a person on a grueling hike up a mountain; no hiding behind nice clothes and make-up on that first date. The pair found themselves inseparable and soon Brittany was eating some of Guy's restaurant quality food and Guy was enamored by Brittany's spirit. Both of them seemed to find the balance they had been looking for. Such a beautiful compliment to each other's personalities. Time seemed to fly by as the pair learned more about each other. Now, two years later, the couple have made major strides toward forever. Learning how to keep God at the center of their relationship, and focusing on their shared goals, allows them come together as one. They are excited to make this union official on April 4, 2022.
Guy Holmes, also known as the TikTok King, for his many food videos on TikTok, used his favorite platform to make a video for Brittany Riddick on Valentine's weekend. He made reservations at Ray's on the River, where they walked along the river, ate great food, and enjoyed the atmosphere. Brittany had no idea that this would be the day. There were little clues however, a dozen roses that were only at their table, and a napkin turn in a peculiar way as to alert the wait staff about the upcoming proposal. After Brittany returned from the restroom, she assumed that they would head to the car, but Guy told her to watch something he sent to her phone. While she was watching Guy's TikTok proposal, Guy got down on one knee in the restaurant and proposed with the most beautiful ring ever! Naturally, she said "yes"!
The wedding of Brittany and Guy was originally planned as an elopement. For that reason, the dates, events, and times may seem unconventional. After the engagement was announced, the couple realized that many family and friends desired to share in their union, however, these events were already planned prior to the engagement announcement. The couple still desires a very small, intimate affair, but has created a list of events where family and friends can join in on the festivities. Brittany and Guy know and understand that you may not be able to make it. They want you to know that they still appreciate all of the warm wishes and congratulations, so please, do not feel pressure to attend if you are unable to do so. The couple wants a stress-free and fun wedding weekend. If you are unable to attend, a sweet text, kind words, and best wishes are great ways to show your support.
