Gaël and Brittany’s story began long before they ever officially met. Both born and raised in Cambria Heights, Queens, they grew up just down the street from each other. They went to the same church, Blessed Sacrament in Valley Stream, and even attended the same youth group throughout middle school. For 29 years, their lives ran in parallel, sharing the same social circles, yet somehow never crossing paths. That changed in July 2020 at a small, intimate birthday party. Brittany was immediately drawn to Gaël, the quiet, mysterious guy in the room, and from that moment, a beautiful friendship began to form. Bonding over 50cent, debating Brandy and Monica, and sharing a mutual admiration and respect for one another; It wasn’t long before they acknowledged the unspoken feelings between them and decided to start dating. Over the next four years, they began building a life together. Combining friend groups, numerous family vacations, beginning and sharing holiday traditions between families, and moving into a home together in Maryland.
