Our journey together began in the most unexpected yet delightful way—through a double date arranged by mutual friends. Little did we know that this chance meeting would be the start of something truly special. From the moment we met, there was an undeniable connection. Conversations flowed effortlessly, laughter was abundant, and we both felt an immediate sense of comfort and ease in each other's presence. As we spent more time together, our bond grew stronger, and it became clear that we were meant to be. On March 18th, 2023, one of the most unforgettable moments of our relationship took place on the stunning Ka'anapali Beach in Maui, Hawaii. It was there, with the gentle waves lapping at the shore and the golden sunset painting the sky, that a surprise proposal was made. To make the moment even more special, some of our family members were there to witness it. It was a perfect, magical evening that we will cherish forever. On May 19th, 2023, we reached another significant milestone: we purchased our first home together in Yorba Linda, California. This home is a symbol of our commitment and the life we are building together, filled with love, laughter, and countless memories. Our love story is not just about us, but also about the family we have built together. Brittany’s dog, Lilly, quickly fell in love with Derrick, and we recently welcomed a new addition to our family: an English Labrador Retriever named Max, inspired by our love for the Grinch movie. Our love story is a testament to the beauty of serendipity and the power of love. From our first double date to the surprise proposal in paradise, every moment has brought us closer and made our love deeper.
