Bride
Brittany was born in Baton Rouge, LA but was raised as a Army Brat. Having moved all over, her life story landed her in San Antonio, TX in Sep 2015 where she built a life with her broke bestie, Aerilyn. Fast forward to July 18, 2021 when Brittany was enjoying a Gatlinburg, TN vacation with her family. Unbeknownst to her, her life would change for the better on this day when she responded to a random but friendly DM from Dave Jones. …&& the rest is history! <3
Groom
David is originally from Gary, IN. He moved to San Antonio, TX on June 6, 2009. Dave became affiliated with True Vision Church where he regularly plays the drums as part of the church band. In his free time from work and school, Dave is a father to his amazing little man, David (not Jr). Fast forward to July 18, 2021 when Dave was idly scrolling on FB when he claims to have received a friend request from Brittany McWilliams. It was at this point where Dave’s life would change forever when he decided to inbox her. …&& the rest is history! <3
Matron of Honor
From the stage to the alter! Jacqui is the Brides best friend for 17yrs and Aerilyn's self-appointed God Mother. They met in 11th grade at Harker Heights High School in Harker Heights, TX right outside of Killeen. Over the years and oceans, the two have been able to share in priceless life milestones. Having stood by Jacqui's side on 10/15/16, the bride is honored to have her best friend right next to her on 03/04/23!! ...Another one for the books! <3
Best Man
Wendell is the Grooms big brother, naturally they’ve known each other for their entire lives. Though he’s the big brother, Wendell has always been more of a father figure to Dave. The groom is honored to have his big brother by his side on his wedding day.
Bridesmaid
They say "Birds of a Feather Flock Together"! It was friendship at first sight with this beautiful bridesmaid. Tracy and Brittany have been friends for 7 years. They met working at the Air Force Services Activity (AFSVA) on Kelly AFB in May 2016. Though they did not work directly together, close enough, like we said.... "Birds of a Feather Flock Together"!! <3 Tracy has been there with Brittany and her daughter Aerilyn from the early stages of moving to Texas from Germany and has played an inspirational role in helping the bride navigate life at the time as a newly single mother, full time employee and full time student. Tracy's favorite line is and has always been "SUCK IT UP"!! Never letting the bride settle for anything less than she deserved, we can all look back and thank Tracy for her tough love and genuine friendship.
Groomsman
David and Aristide met shortly before Dave’s move to Texas in 2009. Dave’s introduction to True Vision Church and many of his musical connections in the city can be attributed to his best friend Aristide.
Bridesmaid
In 2018 the bride found herself planning a baby shower for a person she did not even know. It wasn't until the day of shower, after days of planning and hours of decorating that Brittany and Dayne met each other (kind of). Dayne was pregnant with the sweet baby diva, Amelia, at the time. During the shower, Dayne announced to the room that she would have 4 children under the age of 5 after the birth of the baby diva!! With wide eyes, Brittany said to herself "More power to ya"!! ...Little did she know, shortly after Dayne's return to work the two would bond over how to properly apply "Rule of 3"!! From that point forward it was the blind leading the blind into an unbreakable sisterhood. Though they are about as different as night and day, they've grown together over the years professionally, as women and as mothers.
Groomsman
At their initial encounter, where Dave did not speak when spoken to (how rude!?) Carlton aka Big Cee thought Dave was a jerk. It wasn’t until a few years later when they met again at a funeral in Gary, IN where Big Cee was playing the drums did the two finally connect. In admiration of Big Cee’s skill, the two bonded over music and have been great friends every since.
Bridesmaid
Supervisor turned forever friend aka "The Rich Auntie"! Tamara and Brittany met when Brittany was placed on Tamara's team at the Air Force Personnel Center (AFPC) -- key word: "placed" (i.e. Voluntold). What Tamara didn't know is that Brittany would be one of her best employees! =D Tamara acted as a mentor to the bride from day one, showing her the ropes, the art of the professional clap back, navigating the haters and letting her words speak as opposed to her face cause "we can hear your face". Tamara has played a role in helping the bride navigate her professional career and making moves that make sense. Outside of the workplace she is a sounding board, a voice of reason and most importantly a karaoke queen. Through all of the curveballs that life may throw, she has always set and maintained a tone of positivity and strength.
Groomsman
Dave and Jerry aka JJ met at True Vision Church in 2010 where they were both part of the band. Over the years the two bonded forming a brotherhood that would last for decades to come.
Bridesmaid
Chiquita and Brittany met in the halls of the Air Force Personnel Center (AFPC) on Randolph AFB. The two spent years exchanging "Ohh, you're cute boo" in passing from one place to another. As they bonded over outfit choices and event planning, a beautiful friendship blossomed. Years later the two taurus's are still uplifting one another through positive words of affirmation and consulting each other on outfit, hair and shoe choices. Staying CA-UUTTEE is at the tip top of the priority list! <3
Groomsman
In 2018, Dave and John met at band rehearsal at True Vision Church. Through conversation, the two found that they had much in common. As Dave was going through a transition in life, John became a shoulder to lean during the hard times. As they learned more about each other and continued to provide safe and positive spaces for one another, they became great friends and brothers.
