David and Brittany met at Loyola Chicago in 2010. Dave was a little tardy to the first class of Media Ethics, but immediately noticed a green-eyed blonde in the front row. He quickly waved off some friends toward the back and took an empty chair next to Britt. He assumed she was a grade older than him, and way out of his league. Turns out he was only half wrong– in reality she was a year behind him in school. As the weeks went on, Dave kept coming to class mostly on-time and always sitting next to the smart girl from Ohio. As the semester came to a close, Britt and Dave were randomly assigned to be debate partners for the Final exam. At the time Dave still thought Britt was far out of his league (he still does and always will). But realizing this was his last shot – he found the courage to ask her out … via a Facebook message (Remember it was 2010 – that was cool back then). For some reason she said YES and that began a fantastic adventure that spanned 2 states and the District of Columbia. Britt moved east, Dave followed. Then in 2019 they moved back to the saltless shores of Michigan, living downtown Detroit before buying their first home together in Ferndale. Toward the end of 2020 they adopted Cadi, the lovable mutt. Following a romantic dinner on NYE 2021, Dave popped the question while pretending to take a New Year’s Eve photo and Britt once again said YES. We're so excited to continue our life together and keep the adventure going for many more years to come.
