Change of Plans

3/23/2020

Due to Covid-19, we are having to postpone our wedding date. **The NEW date is August 29th, 2020** We hope that everyone will still be able to make our wedding and enjoy the day with us. We hope everyone is staying safe and we look forward to EVENTUALLY seeing you all!

It started with a dance

Daniel and I met ringing in the New Year in 2017! We had both been out with friends in Charlotte, NC. I happened to be standing in the middle of the dance floor whenever Daniel looked my way and smiled at me. He then walked over and asked if I wanted to dance and the rest was history. Until my fear of falling in love came into play and I literally quit talking to Daniel for two months or so and then we reconnected when I was on a girls trip to the beach near Jacksonville, NC (where he was stationed). We started talking again and I realized I had no reason to be afraid with him. Ever since we have been long distance up until this May and we have traveled and gone on so many adventures together. We are so incredibly lucky to have each other and I couldn’t ask for a better family for myself to be married into. My family loves Daniel just the same and we will be surrounded by so many friends and family on our wedding day! <3

The Engagment

I had finally graduated nursing school and we had been planning a trip to Europe for almost a year. We packed our things and headed out to London first. Our flights got delayed one after another but we finally made it. We unpacked and got ready and headed straight to dinner. I, of course, forgot to pack a jacket and London was quite chilly. Danny had on his jacket and I kept mentioning how cold it was but not directly asking for his jacket. Now usually Danny would have given me his jacket in a heartbeat but he wasn’t giving in for some reason. Then we got to dinner and he was quiet the whole time and he seemed to have his mind on something else. Me, being the hot headed person I am, asked him what was wrong and told him he needed to stop because we were supposed to be enjoying this trip. We left the restaurant and walked out the door and Danny kept walking and left me at the door, he still seemed to have his mind somewhere else. So I yelled out to him to not leave me and to come back, of course he didn’t and I eventually caught up with him. I asked him what his deal was and he looked at me and said that “he was acting weird because he was excited for this adventure together and he was excited for the rest of the adventures that we would have; that he couldn’t imagine spending them with anyone else”. Then he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I was in disbelief but of course I said YES! Then we spent two weeks in Europe celebrating!
