FAQs

Question

Where is the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Our ceremony and reception will be taking place at the Mercer Museum, a seven-story castle with about 40,000 antiques and artifacts. Guests are encouraged to roam the castle and explore during the cocktail hour. You can find the Mercer Museum's website and address under our "Things To Do." Keep in mind that the castle is concrete, and our wedding will be taking place in January. Which leads us to our next question...

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

It will be January, in the Northeast, in a concrete castle, so it will be COLD. We recommend BYOB (Bring your own blanket). Having a sweater to put over your dress or shirt is recommended just in case.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We recommend formal attire: suits, tuxedos, long dresses, or any clothing item in that realm fits. We want everyone to enjoy getting dressed up, and there is no need to break the bank!

Question

What time should I arrive? What is the schedule of events?

Answer

Our ceremony will be at 6:00 p.m. We recommend arriving 15-20 minutes early to decide which floor you want to be on to view our wedding in the Great Hall. Cocktail hour will begin around 6:30 p.m. (with food and drinks). Dinner will be served at 8:00 p.m. Dancing will start around 9:15 p.m. The ceremony will conclude at 11:00 p.m., which is already well past the groom's bedtime so we do not expect to have any after-party plans.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your kids--we really do. But we want our wedding to be your night off, and we also have a strict maximum guest number set by the Mercer. We will provide supervision for kids at Cheryl and Mike Paradiso’s house. Just let us know if you’d like to leave your kids there so we know how many babysitters to have.
