A beautiful valley, you can see it from the scenic view point. You can also hike or drive down in a four wheel drive car.

Mauna Kea Observatory

You can drive up here to stargaze at night or see the sunrise come up over Mauna Kea in the early morning.

This beach is a local favorite with black sand, sea turtles and each to access swimming. You could also stop at any beach along to drive - most of them are relaxing and have a great view of the bay.

Kua Bay

This is a gorgeous small beach on Kona side with sandy banks and crystal clear water.

This cafe/restaurant (you have to go to the back room for the restaurant) serve delicious local style food and often have live music and bar service in the evening.

This stretch along the bay is a fun walk with lots of shops, cafes, coffee places and fun restaurants to look at or go to if they tickle your fancy. The view of the ocean ain't too shabby either.
