Maid of Honor
Nancy is one of the most amazing people you will ever meet. I am so lucky to have her as both my mom and my best friend. She has more positive qualities than I can name in this short description. To state just a few: she is really easy to talk to, has an great sense of humor, does so much to make others happy, makes you feel heard and validated, gives great advice, and is a great role model. She's always been there for me: in childhood, we spent every day in the summer together; in high school, she watched nearly all my tennis matches; in college, she went to bars with me (and she’s one of the most fun people to drink with!); in my early 20s, she somehow made my cheap apartments a nice place to live; and now, we talk on the phone all the time, go on trips, and share many laughs.

James didn’t realize how much his life would change in March 1989, when baby Chris arrived. If you believe Chris’ mom Alice, James was overjoyed to have a new baby brother. If you ask DeeDee, James said the toddler version of “I brought you into this world and I can take you out of it too.” Later in childhood, the two endured more James Taylor and Yo Yo Ma than anyone ever should. Somehow, the two made it out alive. James now lives in Boston and has a wonderful girlfriend Taylor.
Bridesmaid
Shannon is both my sister-in-law and my close friend. She started dating my brother, Kyle, in 2009, and they married in 2012. My first memory of Shannon is her cooking an excellent dinner on New Year’s Eve. To this day, she is the best cook I have ever met. I have other awesome memories of my time spent with her - going for long walks in New Hampshire, Milwaukee, and Palm Springs; having cocktails on the porch in New Hampshire; playing tennis; sitting by the bonfire in their back yard; and playing together with her kids. I am so lucky to have Shannon in my family - she’s very empathetic, considerate, dependable, genuine, and fun.

I couldn’t have asked for more amazing brothers than Kyle and Tyler! Some of my favorite memories with Kyle: - Riding in the car after he first got his license, listening to his favorite music - Piggy back rides - Lecturing me at age 7 about how I wasn’t allowed to hold hands with a boy until I was 15 - Going with his “cool older friends” to his high school football games when I was 9 - Watching him play soccer when he was on the Wave (the MKE professional soccer team) & going to dinner with the team - Kyle taking me to visit St. Olaf when I was applying for colleges - Seeing what an awesome dad he is - All the road trips we've gone on, just the two of us - He's always there for me - giving me advice, talking through a problem, and being someone to look up to

Becky and I are not only sister-in-laws, but we’re also close friends. Becky and my brother, Tyler, have been a couple since 2011 (and they married in 2014), and we have been good friends ever since. She has visited me in each of the 4 places I have lived since 2011. We have also had the unbelievable opportunity of spending two weeks together in Madagascar. We’ve spent countless nights talking in her living room, going out to dinner, and spending time with her fabulous dog, Sterling. Now, I also get to spend time with her son Cole too! Becky is an amazing sister-in-law and friend - she’s funny, easy to talk to, attentive, thoughtful, caring, and great to travel with.

Tyler and Kyle are the best brothers I could have ever asked for. Some of my favorite memories with Tyler: - Endlessly laughing & goofing around our entire lives. He was the biggest influence on my sense of humor - He also introduced me to the side-tee forehand, drinking, our favorite band, my first favorite songs, Dumb & Dumber, and card games - Playing Pretty Pretty Princess when I was little - He told the best bedtime stories! - Going to concerts of our favorite band, Death Cab for Cutie, since I was 12 - Playing tennis together for the past 16 years - Hiding in the bushes at TLV after being “shushed” for being loud and drunk - Losing in every single trivia game we’ve ever played - Seeing him be an incredible dad to his son, Cole

Chris had always hoped to have a younger sibling, but after his behavior as a child Jim and Alice decided that 2 kids was enough. Luckily, Chris’ cousin Jennifer arrived when Chris was 9, and Chris decided she would do. Chris taught Jen some important life lessons like how to catch frogs and that capers are a kind of fish. The two can frequently be found arguing about who should tow who behind the kayak or sharing videos of chunky animals on Instagram. Jen is currently a senior at University of Richmond.

This is Dwiz, who now goes by JD and previously went by nicknames such as JD McDwiz, Dwizzah, and Dwizard. Chris and Dwiz lived together in Abbot Hall for 3 years during high school. The two bonded by throwing water balloons and snow balls at innocent passersby, sparing only girlfriends of dorm members and certain faculty members, and playing pranks on other dorm members. In high school, Dwiz occupied a room known as The Snuggery, home to smelly hockey gear. He now lives in Boston with his wonderful fiancé, Sarah.

Bekah and I became friends in 6th grade. Our friendship started with long bike rides around Whitefish Bay. The first time Bekah came over, I was mortified by my older brothers’ endless arguing about which one of them was taller. Throughout middle school and high school, we spent countless hours talking on the phone! Now, we enjoy going for long walks, taking trips together, talking about our careers, having wine together at Bekah’s house, and going on double dates. Bekah is an amazing friend - she is always fun to be around, the kind of person you can talk to for hours and never get bored, reliable, supportive, and incredibly fun to travel with.

Joe and Chris lived together in Abbot Hall during high school for 3 years, during a time in which Joe felt that F.O.I.L. kept algebra fresh. The two roomed together their junior year. In the "alcove," the two set up an N64 and played countless hours of Super Smash Bro's and Mario Kart with dormmates. Along with VJ, Dwiz and several other Abboteers, Joe helped Abbot hall take home two dorm football championships in a row. Joe has seen Chris almost die several times while skiing in Montana, much to the dismay of Chris' mother.

Jane and I met when we were 4 years old and we have been close friends ever since. Our friendship evolved with us as we got older: from playing Pocahontas in my backyard in kindergarten, to playing dress up in Jane’s basement in elementary school, to spending countless summer nights in middle school watching Law and Order, to hanging out just to talk for hours in high school, to visiting each other in college. Then, we spent 2 years together in New York City in our early 20’s. I’m so lucky to have a friend who I’ve been able to open up to, have fun with, laugh with, and share the good and bad times of growing up with during the past 24 years.

VJ and Chris first met while floating down the Exeter river. They shared a pizza afterwards in Abbot Hall and became fast friends. VJ moved into the dorm during his senior year and lived across the hall from Chris. That year, he led the entire dorm in a charge out of the building at midnight during the "midnight scream." As all of the students on campus opened their windows and screamed, VJ led his dorm-mates in his boxers through the sprinklers and around campus. After college, VJ would often ride his skateboard to Chris' apartment in New York, where the two would eat candy.
Bridesmaid
Kate and I met in 6th grade. As shy 6th graders, we both wanted to be friends with each other, but we were too shy to suggest hanging out outside of class. Luckily, we both became close friends with Bekah, who was not shy at all, and we started to spend a lot of time together. By the end of middle school, we were good friends, and we have remained close throughout high school, college, and adulthood. We’ve had the chance to share many great memories together, including countless teenage “inside jokes,” many hours talking in my parents’ basement, several great weekends in Denver, and fun nights out. I’m so fortunate to have Kate as a friend - she has a great sense of humor, enjoyable to be around, and gives great advice.

Chris and Christian first met in kindergarten, when Christian was handing out small "wing" pins he had gotten from a pilot on a recent flight. Chris and Christian have been friends ever since, playing endless hours of soccer, tennis, basketball, ping pong, pool, and video games together. Christian (we believe) was also responsible for giving Chris the nickname "Poo." Christian now lives in Boston with his wonderful girlfriend Naris.
Bridesmaid
Alexa was one of the first friends I met at Wash U, and we shared a suite together during our first year there. During and after college, we remained friends and always made an effort to visit each other, even when we were living in separate places. For the past two years, we both lived in Philadelphia, and we were able to spend a lot of time together there. Some of my favorite memories of us together include “senior week” of college, bar hopping in Madison, walking along the river in Philadelphia, and my 28th birthday (which included an alpaca farm and losing terribly in Boggle at a board game bar). Alexa has an amazing sense of humor and she makes everyone around her have a good time. She’s also incredibly kind and compassionate.
Groomsman
Brandon and Chris have been friends since third (fourth?) grade. Brandon and Chris - often with Christian - spent endless hours playing sports (soccer, tennis, ping pong, and pool) and video games (mostly Halo) together. Living two houses apart, the two would often walk Brandon's dog Jack around the neighborhood. Despite being an award winning chess player, Brandon lost his most recent game of chess to Chris, in a stunning defeat in Brian Crevi's basement. As he often reminds Chris, you're only as good as your last game.
Hostess (Female Usher)
Natalia and I met at a Wharton Holiday party in 2017, and we quickly realized we lived in the same building. Natalia’s husband went to the same business school as Chris. We became close over the next two years. I really enjoyed going for walks around the city, playing with Natalia’s cats, watching Netflix with wine and cheese, going on double dates, and spending time with our other two close friends - Luciana and Yoojin. Natalia is a great friend - she’s fun to talk to, a great listener, caring, thoughtful, very reliable, a great hostess, and really fun to spend time with.
Flower Girl
Lauren is my wonderful 5-year-old niece! She is Kyle and Shannon’s second child, and only daughter. Lauren is remarkable - she’s incredibly caring and kind, really brave, smart, creative, and loves having fun. I’m thrilled for her to be my flower girl!
Ring Bearer
Connor is my fantastic 7-year-old nephew! He is my god-son and Kyle and Shannon’s first child. Connor is a truly impressive kid - he has a great sense of humor, and he is extremely caring and kind, friendly, full of energy, really intelligent, and always ready to have fun. I’m so excited for him to be my ring bearer!
Junior Ring Bearer
Cole is my 8-month-old nephew! He is Tyler and Becky’s first child, and he was born 6 days after Reese. By the time my wedding comes, he’ll be 17 months - so he’ll be ready to take on the responsibilities of junior ring bearer! Cole already has a sense of humor (he tries to make his parents laugh), and he’s almost always happy. He loves his mom and dad, going to the zoo to see the animals, his dog, songs, toy cars, climbing on things, fish tanks, and cucumbers.
Junior Ring Bearer
Reece is my 8-month old nephew! He is Kyle and Shannon’s third child, and he was born 6 days before Cole. He’ll also be 17 months by the time my wedding comes - so he’ll also be ready to take on the responsibilities of junior ring bearer! Reece is very loving and incredibly happy. He always smiles back when someone smiles at him. He loves his mom and dad, his siblings, crawling, cruising the furniture, exploring, cuddling, bananas, putting everything he can in his mouth, and his elephant toy.

DeeDee was Chris and James’ wonderful nanny when they were growing up. She lived with the Brennan’s for 15 years and is now part of the family. DeeDee is an outstanding cook, master of arts and crafts projects, grandma to two, and dog mom to many (4?). She put up with Chris when he would only eat if he was sitting on her lap, when he would only wear the color green, when he wouldn't call to confirm that he had arrived safely somewhere, and, well, pretty much every other time too. DeeDee now lives in Idaho with her husband Dale.

Laurie is Brittany's aunt and godmother. Laurie and I have always had a special bond, and she has been a mentor to me. When I was younger, we bonded during our on annual mother-daughter trips (with my mom and Laurie's daughter, Maggie), to Florida to visit my great grandmother. When I became older, our relationship became stronger due to our mutual love for tennis, exercise, and helping others. I love Laurie's company, and I always look forward to going for walks with her in New Hampshire, talking with her at family gatherings, and going out to lunch with her and Maggie.
