Where it all began...

First comes play dates, then comes marriage

You never know how important play dates can be...and not just for the kids lol. One summer day Britt and Luke went over to Luke's friend David's neighborhood for a pool day. David's mom (also named Brittany) invited her brother and sister in law (Jeff & Robin) over with their kids. After an afternoon of swimming, the subject of Brittany being single came up. Jeff swooped in like any good "wingman" and started talking about his best friend Brent. So many wonderful things were said about Brent and the kind of man he was. Brittany asked if he had experience dating single moms to which Jeff replied. "Oh yea, he dates all the single moms!" He sealed the deal by showing Brittany the infamous picture of Brent as Lieutenant Dan for Halloween, long hair and all. Jeff was convinced that Britt and Brent would be a perfect match and planned to arrange for the two to meet. A few weeks went by without any word or plan on meeting Brent. So, Britt thought nothing else of it. Meanwhile, Brent so happened to randomly see a comment that Brittany posted on Robin's facebook page. He quickly got in touch with Robin to ask her who this Brittany was. Robin was under the impression Britt had taken things into her own hands and reached out to Brent. This wasn't the case, however. It took getting Robin involved to get the ball rolling. A few days after their conversation, Brent and Britt met. The day they met turned into staying up all night talking and then going to church together the next day. Since then, they have pretty much been inseparable. After getting to know each other, they both realized there have been so many opportunities over the last 20 years that they could have met. From Brent mowing lawns in Britt's mom's neighborhood to countless concerts and outings in the DFW and even Tyler area. If there is one thing we know, it is that God works everything out in His timing and the kind of love God creates for us to experience truly is worth the wait.

For all the days along the way
