What's the Dress Code?

Answer

Fantastical! Dress for a classy renaissance faire, dress in arms and armor, or dress in some nice khakis. Our theme colors are autumnal colors, but do not feel required to stick to that. Just no white as a major color. We can and will dye you another color if so. Also: Wear Flats not Heels. The court yard is Gravel! Don’t wear heels! Do not! Wear! Heels!!

What about Kids?

Answer

Look, we're gonna keep it real. We were initially going to go with a childfree wedding. But, a bunch of you have kids that are in relatively critical periods of needing watching. And we like you more than we like peace. As such, if you're bringing a child under ten, please keep an eye on them. Our party can help form shifts of relevant parents so that every single one of you is not universally babysitting during a party, but be aware that if your kid acts up, they will be given a sharp sword and directed into the moat. If you're bringing an young adult that's underage, no sweat, but problematic ones will be given a shot of fireball, and then funneled down the same path as mentioned above.

What is the Parking situation going to be?

Answer

Newman's thankfully has ample parking on it's property, but you'll have some well maintained gravel road to go down, followed by dirt and grass. Don't bring a car that can't handle that. If you're uncertain your vehicle can make it, we can help direct you to someone to carpool with who is staying nearby.

Can I Bring anything? Is there extra help I can be?

Answer

Maybe! This wedding is a personal affair and, well, we can not afford a professional planner or servers. We’ll be doing a lot on our own, ranging from the cooking to the cleaning, and the DJing. If you’ve got something you’d like to help with in particular, talk to us, we’re not gonna look a gift horse in the mouth.
