As of right now, we are planning to go forward with our wedding as normal. Your health and safety are very important to us. We plan to social distance as much as possible, and we will have hand sanitizer and masks available for your convenience. However, we ask that you not attend if you or anyone in your household are "under the weather" (cold/flu/fever/cough/etc.) less than 14 days prior to our ceremony and reception. We understand that some invited may be uncomfortable attending; you are not obligated to attend, and we want you to do what you feel is best for you. We also realize that the number of guests may have to be limited. If that happens, we will make every effort to let you know as soon as possible and inform you about a future date of celebration.
Allandale Mansion is a historic site operated by the City of Kingsport. Harvey Brooks, the owner, deeded the mansion and his furnishings to the city in 1969. Brooks, however, insisted that the property "must be maintained in the same manner as when its former owners were alive" and "must be devoted to public use." For more of the site's history, visit https://allandalemansion.com/history/. As such, we want to stress to all their guests to treat the venue with as much care as possible. If any damages occur, the venue will charge us a fee to make the necessary repairs.
Our rain plan is to move everything to Harvey's Barn. The schedule will remain the same, and guests should still arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the ceremony starting.
The couple's wedding planner, April Conley, will happily answer any questions or concerns you may have. You can contact her on her cell phone.
Yes. All guests have received an invitation with an RSVP (stamp included). Guests should mail in the RSVP even if they don't plan to attend. We need advanced headcounts for the venue, catering, and other logistics. Please be sure to mail the RSVP by the requested date.
If there's a possibility that you will attend, please answer "Yes" and fill out all the information on the RSVP. Otherwise, please answer "No." If you answered "No," mailed in your RSVP, and later realized that you want to come to the wedding, please contact our wedding planner, April.
All guests are invited to both the ceremony and reception. You may attend only one or both of the celebrations. We just ask that the ceremony, which will start at exactly 2:00 p.m., remain uninterrupted. From 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., guests are free to come and go as they please.
No. Austin and Brittany are excited for you to celebrate their special day with them. If you decide to bring a gift, you can visit the registry page for ideas.
We recommend wearing your Sunday best. Please be mindful that the venue is outside, that the weather may vary, and that the ground may not be suitable for all shoe types.
Navy Blue and Silver
Guests are invited to enjoy food, drinks, and music after the ceremony.
Food City will be catering the reception. They will be providing two entrees, three sides, bread, salad, fruit cobbler, and a selection of beverages (tea, coffee, water). The two entrees will be Oven Fried Chicken Breast and Spiral Sliced Ham. The sides will be Mashed Potatoes, Broccoli Casserole, and Mixed Veggies in Citrus Butter. In addition, red and white wines will be available for guests.
There is ample parking in the lot next to Harvey's Barn for the ceremony. Guests can also drive to the Picnic Pavilion and park in its lot for the reception.
