Travel Note
Grocery stores • Costco: Members-only warehouse selling a huge variety of items including bulk groceries, electronics & more. • Bónus: A local favorite with a pink pig logo, Bónus is known for being the cheapest option. It has smaller stores with limited selection and low prices. • Krónan: A budget-friendly option with a wider selection of produce and organic options than Bónus. • Netto: A mid-range option with a larger selection of products and household goods. Some Netto stores are open 24/7. • Hagkaup: A premium supermarket with a wide range of groceries, clothing, electronics, and more. Icelandic equivalent of Walmart. • Water: You will not find bottled water in Iceland. Pure springs and glaciers cover the entire country, and the island’s infrastructure ensures that fresh water is distributed to every tap. We advise bringing a reusable bottle. Stores also carry carbonated water.
