Brittany and Alton met in the summer of 2010 on Brittany's first day of orientation at Georgia Southern University. However, it wasn’t until they both landed in Athens in 2014 that they hit it off! Alton had started his first job with orientation, and Brittany was starting her graduate program. They became friendly and spent a lot of time together over margs and tacos at Taqueria Del Sol and chasing drink specials DT Athens (not much has changed!) with their group of friends that were Eagles turned UGA grad students. Over the years, they supported each other through lots of life events and a tremendous amount of personal and professional growth. In 2018, Alton and Brittany came to their senses and admitted that they were meant to be more than friends, so it was an easy transition to becoming an inseparable couple. At this point, Brittany had graduated from UGA and was living and working in Atlanta. Alton was progressing in his career at UGA, so the two split time in between their two favorite cities. Doing what they love most - sharing weekend trips, finding local eats, and cheering on the Dawgs and Eagles when they could - the two grew close. In October 2020, Brittany and Alton were having date night at the Garden Room in Atlanta after months of quarantine. Over a drink called “Let’s get serious!” - convenient right - Alton had planned the sweetest proposal. Of course, Brittany said yes, and they have been busy planning their next chapter since.
