Travel Note
There are 3 Airports to fly into in the D.C. Area: DCA, IAD, and BWI. We recommend flying into DCA as it is in the heart of D.C. and will make the rest of your travel and stay convenient. IAD would be the next closest option, though a bit further out. BWI (located in Baltimore) is a bit further and will have congested traffic.

Whether you are booking a hotel or Airbnb, we recommend these locations or areas for your stay: Old Town Alexandria Georgetown The National Mall Area
Travel Note
The D.C. area metro is extremely easy to use, reliable, and affordable. Just use Apple Maps and choose the public transit feature and it will show you all the routes to get where you're going. Most buses are free and the metro is typically around $2. If you download the SmarTrip card to your Apple Wallet it's easy to tap pay as well. If you decide to rent a car, use the ParkMobile app for easy pay parking. Just a note that parking and driving in the D.C. area can be a bit hard at times, so we are recommending for guests to utilize the amazing public transportation system and Uber/Lyft!
