It all started when both families unknowingly booked a vacation in December 2018 to New York City, then another in June 2019 to multiple European cities. It was almost a "you're following me" moment, and wondering where they would end up next. On May 18, 2019, Brittany dragged one of her best friends, Taylor, all the way to Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach from Weston to meet up with Kent and his friends. Shortly after, Brittany and Kent both left onto their Europe vacations, and exchanged gelato recommendations with each other. When they got back in town, they have been inseparable since.

Just when Brittany thought she was planning a nice winter family vacation to Gatlinburg, Tennessee, she was planning her engagement trip! Brittany and Kent's family traveled to a cabin in the Smoky Mountains on December 30, 2021. Being the planner that Brittany is, she sent everyone a daily itinerary for things to do while on vacation. While both families typically agree with Brittany's travel plans, this was not the case on this trip. Everyone was against her when choosing specific activities per day, since the photographer was already planned. After dealing with some weather complications, Kent proposed on the balcony of our cabin, overseeing the Smoky Mountains with rose pedals and a "Marry Me" sign in place.
