Rocky Mountain National Park is just minutes from the wedding venue—perfect for a day of wildlife spotting and a visit to Bear Lake, where Cameron popped the question! Timed entry reservations are required to enter the park. Starting July 1st at 9 AM CT, reservations for August will open. Summer weekends book quickly, so plan ahead! We recommend choosing the “Timed Entry + Bear Lake Road” option, which gives access to the Bear Lake area and the rest of the park. Reservations allow entry within a two-hour window, with no required departure time. If you miss the early reservation, the park service reserves 40% of the reservation times to be acquired the day before at 7 PM MST. So set your alarms!
Our favorite coffee shop - a short (less than 5-minute) drive from downtown Estes Park. Grab a coffee while sitting by a beautiful running river, feeding ducks, and taking in the mountain scenery.
A trip to Estes Park wouldn’t be complete without visiting the iconic Stanley Hotel, the historic property that inspired Stephen King’s The Shining. Guests can explore the beautiful grounds, enjoy dining and cocktails with mountain views, or take one of the famous history and ghost tours. Whether staying overnight or just stopping by, it’s a must-see landmark that captures the spirit of Estes Park.
Hidden beneath the original carriage house of the historic Stanley Hotel, there is a subterranean lounge, where the greatest magicians in the world perform. Reserve tickets early!
For those who want the views without the hike! The Estes Park Aerial Tram will carry you to the top of 8,900-foot Prospect Mountain, providing stunning views of Rocky Mountain National Park and the Continental Divide.
Visit the heart of downtown Estes Park for a relaxing afternoon of souvenir shopping, local breweries, art galleries, and all-around great vibes.
