Britt and Russ met in September of 2014 at Houston’s Restaurant in Scottsdale, Arizona where they both worked while attending classes at Arizona State University. As they describe it, their love affair began over a famous Houston’s French Dip and Hot Fudge Sundae during their lunch break. Their first “real” date, planned by Russ himself, was a picnic lunch under the pecan trees at “The Farm at South Mountain” that December. It didn’t take long before they’d worked their way into each other’s hearts. And the rest, as they say, (no matter how cheesy it is), is history. In the spring of 2018 they began a long distance relationship. Russ moved back home to San Angelo, Texas to officially begin his career in the family’s wool business while Britt remained in Scottsdale to complete her externship in Cardiovascular Sonography. Distance proved to make the heart strings grow fonder and during a late September visit to Texas last year, Russ surprised Britt and proposed at his family’s lake house (a place very dear to his heart). Britt's family knew it was true love when their city girl said "yes" and agreed to make the move to west Texas, and call San Angelo home. They're so excited to start the next phase of their lives together and can't wait to celebrate with you in September. See you in Seattle!
