IMPORTANT UPDATE: Hi Family and Friends! We got cleared that our wedding CEREMONY can have 250 people present with social distancing and mask wearing (Which is SUPER news!!!!). We are currently still waiting on hearing from the Holiday Inn about our reception and are anticipating not to hear more until June 18th when our MN governer speaks. We will have more details to come for our reception. If the Holiday Inn falls through that date, we will have an outdoor reception at my parents place in Audubon, MN. We will keep you posted. With this being said, 250 individuals are less than who we invited. So we will be sending out family invites first. For those who we do not hear from for RSVPs, we will slowly be sending out more invites to friends to try and monitor that 250 mark. So it is extremely important to RSVP ASAP on our Zola website or via mail please 🙂. We understand that some of you may choose not to come due to the COVID-19 pandemic and we 100% understand and support your decision. For those who do plan on attending please BRING A MASK and plan on following social distancing guidelines. Lucky for us, on a hot July day, our church has air conditioning 🙌🙌🙌. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please do not hesitate to message me. 🙂 I am mailing out family invites today so family should be getting them in the mail soon. PLEASE RSVP IF YOU WILL ATTEND OR NOT 💗 Thank you and stay safe 💗 Love, Brittanie and Mitch (39 days to go!) P.S. thank you for your patience. It has been very difficult to plan through this pandemic! Cheers to making the best of it 🥂🤗
We both grew up just outside of small town Audubon, MN and rode the same bus to get to our school. Mitch was one of the cool kids who sat in the back of the bus with long beautiful hair, while Brittanie and others would sit and listen to his stories. Mitch started working on the Schafer family's vineyard the summer of 2011. During long days in the sun, Brittanie and Mitch worked alongside trimming grapevines and getting to know each other better. In 2013, both realised they had a crush on one another and on October 22nd, 2013 (with the help of a friend, shout out to Drake ;) ) Mitch and Brittanie became a couple! Within the first two years of dating, Mitch and Brittanie went to two high school proms together and then eventually went to two different colleges. Mitch went to Alexandria Technical College to pursue a career in law enforcement while Brittanie attended the University of North Dakota to pursue a career in occupational therapy. Brittanie got accepted to UND's program in Casper, WY so together the couple continued to keep in touch through a long distance relationship while Mitch decided to work back in Detroit Lakes, MN. Since then, we have been through a lot and learned how to support each other through both the happy and the difficult times. On March 23rd, 2019, after hanging out with some friends, Mitch decided to pop the question, and of course Brittanie said "yes"! We have been through a lot, but we're ready for our next chapter of our relationship. We are proud to have you a part of our journey.
