What time does the wedding ceremony start?

The wedding will start PROMPTLY at 5:00 pm on Thursday June 25, 2026.

The ceremony will be held in an outdoor venue.

Is there a dress code for the wedding?
Answer
Yes, the dress code for the wedding is Garden Cocktail attire. If you have any questions or need clarification you may reach out to the Bride.

Will there be a welcome event?
Answer
Yes, there will be a Welcome Event the night before the wedding on June 24, 2026 at 7:00 pm on the Coral Deck. Attire for this event is ALL WHITE.

Are children allowed at wedding events?
Answer
All wedding events have a minimum age requirement of 15 years old as of the time of the wedding.

Should I bring a gift to the wedding?
Answer
We only ask that you bring yourself, good vibes, and a turn up spirit to the wedding. If you would like to purchase a gift you can refer to the online registry.

When should I arrive at the resort?
Answer
It is recommended that wedding guest arrive by at least Wednesday June 24, 2026. Please check the schedule tab for wedding events you may be interested in.

Do I need a passport to travel to the wedding?

Yes, you will need a passport to travel to the wedding.

When should I start the process of getting a passport?
Answer
It typically takes 4-6 weeks to get a passport, however there can be delays that hold up that process. It is recommended that you start the process of getting your passport no later than January 2026.

Is there a preferred travel agent?
Answer
Yes. There is a preferred travel agent that you can book hotel accommodations through as well as flights and transportation to and from the airport. Travel agent information can be found on the Travel tab of the wedding website.

Do we have to book with the preferred travel agent?
Answer
No, you are not required to book with the preferred travel agent. We ask that you let the Bride or Groom know if your booking with another travel agent and you keep your reservation number and booking info handy in case the bride and groom needs it.

Do I have to stay at the resort that the wedding is being held at?
Answer
It is preferred that all guest stay at Secrets Bahia Mita Surf & Spa Resort or the attached sister property Dreams Bahia Mita Surf & Spa Resort. However, if you choose to stay off property the hotel will charge you a fee to attend the wedding.

Is Secrets Bahia Mita Surf & Spa Resort all inclusive?
Answer
Yes, the resort is all inclusive, however there all activities on the resort that may not be included in the price of the room.

Is the resort where the wedding is being held family friendly?
Answer
No, Secrets Bahia Mita Surf & Spa Resort is an adults only all inclusive resort for guest 18 years of age and older. The attached sister resort Dreams Bahia Mita Surf & Spa Resort is a family friendly resort.

If I stay at Dreams Bahia Mita Surf & Spa Resort will I be able to go to the adults only side for wedding events?
Answer
Yes, all invited guest will be able to go to the adults only resort for all wedding events. Guest under the age of 18 will only be able to go to the adults only side for wedding related events, they will not be allowed on that side any other time.

Can I have someone come with me to the resort and stay in my room who is not attending the wedding?

Yes! Whoever stays in your room is you, the hotels, and the travel agents business. Not mine.
