Blakely State Park
Also the location of the wedding ceremony, Blakeley State Park has so much to explore. Discover civil war battlefields, hiking trails, camping, ancient oyster beds and the Tensaw River.
Five Rivers Delta Center
This is a wonderful place for some outdoors action. There's kayaking, walking trails and a nature center for the kids.
Fairhope Brewing Company
One of our favorite breweries. Order the Fairhope I Think Therefore I Amber, Fairhope Take the Causeway IPA or do like us and order a flight.
Airboat Adventures
Take a tour of the five rivers by boat, air boat.
Sunset Pointe at Fly Creek Marina
Anyone who's looking for a beautiful view and an excellent menu should go to Sunset Pointe. Every evening, the entire restaurant pauses to cheers to the sunset. It's a beautiful tradition. And it's the best view in Fairhope.
The Flora-Bama Yacht Club
I'm sure many of you know of the world famous Florabama. But its sister bar is even better. Don't let the name fool you. Although both words "yacht" and "club" are included, this bar is much more relaxed. Situated across the street from the original Bama, the Yacht Club is the local's version. It has all the Bushwhackers and bands you're looking for...without the crowd.
Alligator Alley
Although we've never visited the Alley, it's a great place to take the kids. Just make sure you keep an eye on 'em.
Downtown Mobile
Sometimes called the "mini New Orleans," downtown Mobile is one of our favorite places. Take a walk down LoDa on a Friday night and catch art vendors, jazzy street bands and amazing food. Experience downtown like a true local and order your beer to go.
Bayfront Park
One of our favorite places to walk Willie Nelson, Bayfront Park is an easy-to-access park overlooking beautiful Mobile Bay. Hike miles of trails, visit an ancient Native American burial ground or walk the sandy beaches of the bay. Oh and watch out for gators. They're everywhere.
