Eddie and I met through our circle of friends about ten years ago. We took a leap of faith and began dating in June 2016. Since then, we've eaten (a LOT), we've drank (also a LOT), we've traveled (we've been to NINE countries together!), and we were crazy enough to buy a home together! Through all of these experiences, we both feel lucky and blessed to have found a true companion in one another. We laugh, we make fun of each other, we dance around the house, and we go through mood swings then eat and realize we were just hangry. All of this craziness aside, we love each other like it's going out of style. And that, friends, has gotten us where we are today. We are incredibly excited to celebrate the next chapter of our lives with you! See you in March!
On our one-year anniversary in our home, Eddie surprised me with flowers and a beautiful card first thing in the morning. The whole time I was reading the card, I was thinking about how bad I felt for not getting him a card or gift. I thought one year in our home was an awesome milestone, but never thought about a gift or card. I felt so bad, I completely overlooked the part about being his "roommate...forever." To my complete - and I mean complete - surprise, he got down on one knee and popped the question! Obviously, I said yes! Shortly after, we celebrated by having breakfast with both of our families, and later that night we were able to celebrate with our friends. I learned a few things that day. Pay attention to even the smallest of anniversaries, read the fine print, and Eddie is really, really good at surprises. :-)
