We met in June of 2023 at Natalie Murrow’s wedding in Thousand Oaks, California. Natalie is one of my best friends and David’s cousin! Starting off with a wedding friendship, and unexpectedly turning to something more, David won me over by bringing me wine and spinning me around on the dance floor all night. We stayed up late talking in the courtyard and David slyly got in a kiss to seal the deal before the end of the night. The next morning we sadly had to part ways as I flew back to North Carolina and he to Kansas City - neither of us knowing if we’d ever see each other again, or if anything would come off it, though I think we both hoped so. We texted later that day, and David asked me on a “FaceTime date” a few days later. That date got really romantic, when I watched David swab his nose and test positive for Covid. We've been kinda stuck on each other ever since. Many flights back and forth between NC and KC while missing each other in between led to him moving to NC where we recently bought a home together. It is kinda crazy to look back on it- but it’s true - the best things come unexpectedly. David popped the question to me on my birthday in our new home. We are so excited to have our favorite people all together on our best day ever!
