We understand that this is a busy time of year with back to school and everyone can't know right away, but we are hoping to finalize our head count by June 15th.
The ceremony starts at 4:30pm on the beach in front of the Yacht Club, so we recommend arriving around 4:00- 4:15pm to give you time to grab a seat and settle in. We ask that you please silence your phone during the ceremony.
We are planning this being a beachy, coastal cocktail atmosphere. Think relaxed, comfortable, yet polished style designed for warm-weather settings, combining breezy fabrics like linen and cotton with a "dressed-up vacation" aesthetic. The service will be on the sand a very short walk from the clubhouse. There could be sea breeze and Santa Barbara evenings can be a bit chilly after sundown, so consider bringing a jacket or cover-up.
The parking area immediately adjacent the santa barbara yacht club is 90 minute parking. However, there is pay parking both to left and right upon entering the harbor area for $3.50 per hour, with a maximum daily rate of $20.00. If you plan on drinking, we recommend taking an Uber or walking if your hotel is nearby.
There is no shuttle needed to get from the ceremony to the yacht club. Check with your hotel to see if they offer a shuttle to/from the harbor.
Visit the "Travel" page on our website, we offer hotel recommendations and a discount hotel link. Additionally, Airbnb and VRBO are great options for vacation rentals, especially if you're traveling as a larger group.
After the ceremony, we will be taking some photos. Guests will be invited to enjoy a glass of champagne on the sand, and then make their way up to the 2nd floor of the club to mingle with drinks, appetizers, live music, and fantastic views until we join you. Dinner will be served as a buffet and open all evening to enjoy.
The ceremony will be on the beach, but there are wooden platforms and a deck accessible nearby. The club is accessible and has wheelchair ramps and an elevator to the second floor.
Please call Bill, 805-252-6503, and we will do our best to accomadate you. We will have both non-vegetarian and vegetarian options food options at the buffet.
Photos and videos are more than welcome.
On August 3rd in Santa Barbara, you can expect classic, warm coastal weather, with temperatures typically peaking in the upper 70s to low 80s°F and dropping to the low 60s°F at night. The day will likely be sunny and dry, with a near 0% chance of rain, making it ideal for outdoor activities. If there is any sea breeze, it can feel cooler due to the ocean temperature so light cover-ups or jackets can come in handy. The ceremony will be on the beach — the locals will likely kick off their shoes. There is a foot rinse near the entrance to the clubhouse. The reception will be at the Yacht Club. The interior of the club is a mixture of hardwood and carpeted flooring. The outdoor decks are planked wood.
If you are planning travel or pick-up plans in the evening, we expect the event to end around 9:00 pm.
Your presence is truly the only gift we need! Because we are already blessed with a fully stocked home, we have opted not to have a registry. However, if you wish to honor us with a gift, a small contribution toward our future family plans would be warmly appreciated.
