In April of 2017, we met for a drink at Urban Space. Britta planned to meet for an hour and be on the next train back to Greenwich. Somewhere in the planning of the date Oliver missed this very tight time frame and instead had an elaborate adventure planned for them. Once Oliver realized his time was running out, a countdown began with a check-in every 5 minutes as they shared tacos and a bowl of tortilla soup (who shares soup on a first date?). With 20 minutes remaining, Oliver asked Britta if she would take the next train and join him for an adventure. With a nod, they headed to Grand Central to take the subway downtown to their first of many stops that night. From the best seats at the bar, to the perfect table with a bottle of wine sent over by the owner and a shop that stayed open for us called "LUV Tea", it seemed as if the planets had aligned. By 10p.m Oliver canceled his date plans for the next night, called Britta the next morning to ask her to brunch and offered to help her move furniture that day. What started as an hour turned into a five-day adventure and the rest is history!
Oliver and Britta were out shopping for new furniture in the city when Oliver said he forgot he scheduled a massage that afternoon back in Williamsburg as a surprise. Britta came home to find the apartment filled with over 100 candles, flowers that he arranged and Oliver down on one knee. We slow danced in our candlelit apartment overlooking our beautiful city’s skyline taking it all in.
Sayulita has a special place in our hearts. After visiting for Britta's birthday, we fell in love with the chill surf vibe, local charm, the tacos, ceviche made with fresh fish caught that morning, Mezcal, Tequila and the most breathtaking sunsets. We've spent two trips here to carefully curate an incredible few days of celebration with those closest to us. We cant wait to share this magical town with all of you. Thank you for coming to support our love and our exciting new adventure.
