OAK
It is strongly advised to only fly into OAK Airport. SFO is deceptively close mileage wise, but the Bay Area is a very congested place and traffic from SFO to Oakland is often times over an hour. If you are flying into SFO please remember that there will be traffic getting to the East Bay
Rental Car
GETTING AROUND
The easiest way to get around the East Bay is by car. If you want to avoid renting a car, using BART and uber is also very manageable. BART runs directly from OAK Airport to uptown Oakland. From there, you would have to uber or carpool to the ceremony and the reception.

Kissel Uptown Oakland
Hunter and I will be staying at the Kissel Hotel in Uptown Oakland. We would love to have you all stay at the Kissel with us, but if you are looking for a more affordable option close by, we suggest the Moxy hotel. Both of these hotels are close to BART as well. They are your best hotel option close to BART. If you are driving and staying at Kissel, the hotel only offers valet parking for $52/night, BUT you can park your car yourself at the Ace Parking lot behind the YMCA for $10/night. The address is 2353 Webster St, Oakland. It is literally right across the street form the hotel.

We recommend the Berkeley marina if you would rather stay somewhere more laid back and closer to the reception.

If you would rather stay in an Airbnb, our recommendation is to stay close by the reception/ceremony venues in the following neighborhoods in Oakland/Berkeley: North Oakland, Rockridge, Claremont, Montclair, or Elmwood.
