July 3, 2020

Due to Covid-19, we’ve decided to broadcast our wedding via Facebook Live on September 25, 2020 at 5:45pm for guests outside of our bridal party and immediate family! We appreciate those that have already RSVP’d and planned to celebrate with us, but we want everyone to stay well during this time of uncertainty. Please check your emails for an Evite to join our virtual viewing. Love, Terrence and Britainé

How We Met

December 25, 2017

We met in November of 2015 at my birthday party at The Dessert Lounge in Memphis, Tennessee. Terrence was crashing the party as our mutual friend, AC asked him to stop by. Little did we know, AC’s intentions were to get us together anyway. Unfortunately, we were both dating other people at the time. Two years passed and like Yo Gotti says, “It goes down in the DM.” Terrence expressed his interest in me by mentioning how beautiful I was on a picture I posted on Facebook. I said “thank you,” and he continued to make conversation via messager. Since it was Christmas Day, I entertained the conversation. After several days of messaging, I offered Terrence my number to prevent the back and forth messaging. I didn’t think he would call so quickly, but he didn’t waste any time. We talked for hours everyday after that. After a few weeks of conversation over the phone, I learned that Terrence lived in Murfreesboro, TN. He went out of his way to visit me every weekend in Memphis. We dated and truly got to know one another. We pretty much fell in love after our first date as we talked for months over the phone before then.

Terrence Pops the Question

January 27, 2019

After months of dating and getting to know us, we found out that we were expecting our first child in March. Terrence began acting a little strange closer to the date of our baby shower. He always lets his nerves get the best of him. However, I didn’t think too much into it. As we were taking our maternity pictures before the shower started, I could feel a box in his pocket. Of course, he kept saying it was a box of gum. I didn’t want to get my hopes up, so I let it go and enjoyed our shower. At the beginning of our shower, I started to feel uncomfortable and nauseated. My dress was too tight and baby TJ was putting up a fight. I asked Terrence could I change my clothes and he wouldn’t let me. He kept saying, “No, please wait until later to change.” I should have figured it out by then, but by this point, I was stuck in the restroom trying to hold it together for guests. When it was time to start playing games, Terrence began expressing how much he loved me in front of everybody. Then, he got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife. Although, I had an idea it would happen soon, I was completely shocked as he would totally dismiss the idea every time I brought it up. I almost fainted!

Why We Decided to Get Married Early

October 19, 2019

In marriage counseling, we learned that “God honors the home that honors him.” Our Pastor suggested that we do what’s right by getting married now and have a celebration later. Prior to counseling, Terrence and I already decided that we wanted to get married after we completed marriage counseling. Our Pastor was so thrilled that we were all on the same page! We couldn’t wait any longer to live the way God wanted us to! We said “I Do,” at our church home in Murfreesboro, TN with our close friends and family members.
