We met at W.W. Bushman Elementary School in Oak Cliff, TX. This was back when you sent notes asking your crush to go with you and you would get a response by them checking yes or no. Well...Brishaun said yes and it was the beginning of relationship grounded in friendship. Brishaun moved to Houston, TX at the end of the 6th grade school year. We communicated here and there through letters and calls when she visited Dallas but hey, it was the late 80s so we eventually lost touch. As fate would have it, we recently found each other again, rediscovered our friendship, and are grateful that love is not constrained by time. We have also been grateful to have reconnected with many of our elementary classmates who are a part of our story. Since reconnecting, we've spent time getting reacquainted and getting to know one another on a deeper level by spending countless hours on the phone, seeing each other regularly, spending time with family, going to concerts and events, and our absolute favorite...traveling. Through these things, they found themselves to be inseparable. On December 14, 2024, Brishaun said yes once again, but this time to a marriage proposal with our family and friends waiting for us to arrive to an elegantly planned engagement dinner. As we approach our wedding day, we are overjoyed to celebrate our union before God and a host of family and friends. This is truly a dream come true❤️
