Hinge!

The plan came together around a birthday trip for Anton's mother to Dallas for the Texas State Fair. Friday night Brione and Anton's families went to dinner and the plan afterwards was to visit the Mandalay Canal Walk for the proposal. Only Brione's mother (Wende) and Anton's mom (Wendy) were in on the plan. After a long dinner the group went to the canal walk but ended up on the dormant end. To Brione it was an odd post dinner activity, for Anton slight panic set in as there didn't seem like a great place to pop the question. That end of the canal walk was mostly dark even the various bridges that seemed like the perfect spot. Anton began powerwalking looking for an option as Wende, Wendy and Brione's sister Desiree strolled together. Running out of options the group came to a well-lit area with Adirondack chairs facing the water and a restaurant patio overlooking the water. Anton figured there was no better place or time. With Desiree (and Brione) in disbelief he dropped down to one knee and asked Brione to be his wife.
