We met at cross country camp in the fall of 2017. Austin sat with Angela and her freshmen friends every day at breakfast, causing Angela to want to invest back when Austin moved to Ankeny following his college graduation. After years of spending time together as friends, Austin asked Angela if the next time they wanted to spend time together if it could be a real date- not just a friend date this time. When Angela moved to Holstein following her college graduation, they made it official and began dating. Nearing the end of their premarital counseling, Austin asked Angela if she wanted to catch a sunset at Adam's Nature Preserve (a place they both ran at college) after dinner one night. She went along thinking that was truly the mission of the trip. After she got in the way taking pictures of the sunset, and later got distracted by something along the trail, Austin proposed! Angela said yes several times (and then "but no if you didn't ask my parents first" to which he confirmed he did ask) and then walked back to the car before it got too dark. We are excited to celebrate the start of our marriage with you!
