Jess and Nick met on March 8th, 2020 in Lakeview, Chicago. Sparks flew and they were immediately inseparable. Shortly after meeting, Chicago was shut down for the 2020 Covid Pandemic. They spent 2.5 months apart facetiming every day, talking about life and their dreams of being together.

Their engagement was a journey! Nick set up surprise dates for Jess every weekend until they got engaged so Jess wouldn't know when the proposal was coming. On November 19th, 2022, Nick blindfolded Jess and took her to the Hotel del Coronado for a surprise picnic on their beach. He set up his phone to take a photo and instead got down on one knee to propose!

On the best day ever, Jess and Nick would wake up and head to a new brunch spot to try followed by a morning at the farmers market. They would then head to the beach to battle in who is better at boogie boarding (Jess always wins). After relaxing and jamming to some music, they would head home to rinse off at the pool. Jess and Nick love cooking together and would use the ingredients they got that morning at the farmers market to whip up a delicious meal. Dinner is always followed by some dancing in the kitchen to some old Italian love songs. At sunset, they would enjoy a walk together with their famous little weenie, Donnie. They would return home to enjoy some wine, dessert and an animal documentary. Its the outline for their "perfect day" that they plan to repeat over and over again for the rest of time...
