“The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him… So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man’s ribs and then closed up the place with flesh. Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. The man said, ‘This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called ‘woman,’ for she was taken out of man.’ That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh.” Breyton and I met at the University of Mobile, and from the very beginning, we knew something was different. From day one, we knew that God had orchestrated our paths to cross for a reason. Not long after, we found out our parents had known each other for years (crazy, right?). It felt like our story had been in motion long before we even realized it. On May 8, 2023, Breyton asked me to be his girlfriend, and we’ve been laughing, growing, and loving life together ever since. Then came one of the most magical days—January 21, 2025. It was Mobile’s historic snow day (yes, actual snow in Alabama!) and Breyton popped the question. Through snowflakes and so many happy tears, I said yes! Now we’re getting ready to say “I do” on April 11, 2026, and we can’t wait to start forever together. We’re so thankful for the way God brought us together and so excited to celebrate with all the people we love!
