Mackenzie has been one of my best friends since we met at Stahl Junior High in 7th grade. She has been a huge part of my life and has walked with me through some of the best and worst parts of my life. She has a heart of pure gold. Mackenzie is one of the strongest women I know and I am blessed to call her a friend. She pushes me to be the best version of myself. Her words of encouragement and God-given gifts are truly some of the best things God has blessed me with.

Although Richard is Leayle's nephew, he has been like a younger brother to him. When they were younger, they would beg their parents for them to have sleepovers and then stay up late playing video games. They grew up together and have shared countless memories.

Connie has been my longest friend. We met each other in first grade Sunday School. She has walked beside me in so many of life's adventures. We did Sunday school, church camps, random adventures, you name it. She was also my chauffeur for the longest time. Thank goodness I can drive now. She is my rock and someone I can call for literally anything. She makes my life so much better!

I met Carlos during my Air Force job training in Washington. After training, he was stationed at Travis AFB (between Sacramento, CA and San Francisco). After some time, we reconnected as I celebrated my 26th birthday in San Francisco and our friendship really boomed after that. Carlos has grown into one of my closest friends. He's my go to whenever I need a good laugh and he's always ready to take a trip and travel somewhere new.

Alex is truly the life of the party. Even though we met in September 2019, she has quickly become one of my best friends. She is always down for an adventure and we have gone on so many. I first met Matthew through Deborah since they both teach at the same school. Our friendship grew very fast and he is one of the original members of our inside joke, "The Benjamin Family". He has an amazing personality and a heart of gold and I'm glad to have him as one of my groomsmen

I met Emmy in 2018 while I was finishing my student teaching experience at Lake Dolloff Elementary. Thanks to Leayle, we last-minute attended the Kenny Chesney Tour Around the Sun concert together. Since then, she has become one of my greatest friends! She embodies the purest of hearts and inspires me to be the best version of myself.

Danny is hilarious and I can always count on him for a good laugh. I first met him while he was getting out of the military and now he is doing his thing in the IT space.

Because of Keigan, I survived my undergrad at Pacific Lutheran University. I am so grateful I met her in January of 2015. We took most of our classes together and even did our Capstone projects together. I was blessed to be a part of Keigan's wedding and I'm even more excited to have her in mine! She has helped shape me into the person I am today and I am so glad she is a part of my life.

Will has known me since I was 20 years old. We worked at Fairwinds Credit Union together. Some of the best stories I have and the most fun I have ever had in the workplace has been working with Will at Fairwinds. He's a great guy that now has a beautiful family. Lydia is the older sister I never had. Since high school, she has been traveling around the world going on many adventures and being the best human possible. However, we always made time for each other, despite our busy schedules. She lights up the room with her beautiful smile and she lights up my life with her constant words of encouragement.

My A1 since Day One! Isaiah was the first person I met after a long flight from Wichita Falls, Tx. I finished my Air Force technical school and flew to Washington where I was going to start my Air Force career. We rode a bus from the airport to the base together and that started our long lasting friendship. Now, we've have both moved on from the Air Force to live a life full of success. It's truly an inspiration to see the big things he is doing in Los Angeles.

Megan is a sister from another mister. She is my Filipino ride-or-die. Most of my hilarious adventures have been with Megan. Have you ever put rubber bands around a watermelon to make it explode? I don't think so. Our friendship started in high school when we were on the golf team together. Bet you didn't know I golfed! Megan genuinely makes me a better person and I am so glad I get to call her friend.

Coming from the military, we typically call ourselves by our last names. Since I have known him, I have always called him Greg instead of Richard. Greg and I attended Airman Leadership School (ALS) together. We were taught how to lead airmen in the military to get the mission done. After all the teachings, it was all about having fun. Greg has a great sense of humor and his style is dope. Now, he's becoming an ALS instructor to teach the future leaders the skills they need to lead in the Air Force
Kyleigh Wardwell

Kyleigh is another person who helped me survive college, in both undergrad and graduate school! Kyleigh also did Running Start, wanted to become a lawyer, and eventually chose to get a Masters in Education. During graduate school, I think I spent more time with Kyleigh than anyone else. Hello random coffee shops, fast food places, and strongly worded emails to anyone and everyone. She is incredibly strong and passionate about making the world a better place. I am the teacher I am today because of her!
