Allison and Aaron met in high school, but they weren't really friends back then. Aaron filled his time with band practices and magic tricks, while Allison could usually be found with her tight knit group of friends, going to the beach or the movies. It wasn't until they went to college at Florida State University that they really got to know one another. Aaron lived in the same dorm as Allison's best friends, and they both ended up majoring in exercise science, so naturally, they saw quite a bit of one another. Between group game nights and study sessions, they became fast friends and eventually started dating after college. They dated for four years, during which time they became regulars at the local sand volleyball court, mastered the most complex board games, and ultimately fell deeper and deeper in love. Aaron proposed on December 30, 2021, and through laughter, tears, and utter joy, Allison said "yes." With their story, Allison and Aaron continually prove that true love can -- and perhaps should -- begin as a friendship. Because though they'll soon be husband and wife, they'll also always be best friends.
