Before we met, our lives looked very different. Rod was looking for something real—a genuine connection, a partner to build a future with, and a love that would last a lifetime. Brina, on the other hand, wasn't looking for anything at all. In fact, she never really saw herself getting married. She was perfectly content chasing adventures, exploring new places, embracing life's experiences, and living each day as it came. Independence, spontaneity, and making memories were what she did best. Then came Rod. What neither of us expected was how one person could completely change the direction of another person's life. From the moment we began getting to know each other, there was something different. Conversations felt effortless, laughter came naturally, and time together never seemed long enough. What started as a simple connection quickly became something neither of us could ignore. The more we talked, the more we realized we shared the same values, the same hopes, and the same vision for what truly mattered in life. As our relationship grew, so did our friendship. We became each other's biggest supporters, trusted confidants, and favorite person to spend time with. The connection we shared felt easy, comfortable, and familiar—as though we had known each other much longer than we actually had. There are still times when we look at each other and wonder why our paths never crossed sooner. How did two people with so much in common live separate lives for so long? We often laugh about it and imagine what could have been if we had met years earlier. But deep down, we know our story unfolded exactly as it was meant to. Perhaps we didn't meet sooner because we weren't ready yet. Perhaps every adventure, every lesson, every triumph, and every challenge was preparing us for the moment we would finally find each other. Looking back now, Brina can hardly imagine a life where she never met Rod. The woman who once never saw marriage in her future now cannot wait to spend forever with the man who changed everything. And Rod found what he had been searching for all along—not only a partner, but a best friend, adventure companion, and the love of his life. Together we have learned that love is more than grand gestures and special occasions. It is found in the everyday moments: the laughter shared over inside jokes, the comfort of knowing someone is always in your corner, the support during difficult times, and the excitement of dreaming about the future together. Our love story reminds us that life doesn't always unfold according to our plans. Sometimes the greatest blessings arrive when we least expect them. Sometimes the person who changes your life forever appears when you're not even looking. Today, as we prepare to begin this next chapter and create a lifetime of memories together, we are overwhelmed with gratitude. We are grateful for the journey that brought us here, for the love we have found in each other, and for the family and friends who have supported us along the way. This is only the beginning of our forever. And while we'll probably always wonder why we didn't meet sooner, we're thankful that when our paths finally crossed, we were exactly where we were meant to be.
