FAQs

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The dress code is black-tie optional: think long dresses, suits, or tuxes. We’d love to see everyone a little dressed up for the occasion!

Question

What’s the weather like in Philly in July?

Answer

Hot and humid, with the occasional thunderstorm! But don’t worry, all events are indoors and air-conditioned.

Question

Should I drive or take an Uber/Lyft? Is there parking?

Answer

We highly recommend Uber or Lyft to the church — parking isn’t guaranteed, and we’d love to save you the headache. If you do drive, you’ll need to park near the church, then move your car to the reception and find parking again. Unless you’re a parking pro, a rideshare is definitely the easiest (and most relaxing) way to go.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Because the ceremony is a Catholic Mass, we ask that you be seated in the church at least 10 minutes before 3:00 PM. If you’re running late, please wait until the processional to enter so as not to disrupt the service.

Question

Will there be transportation between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Details about a shuttle between the church and the reception will be shared here as soon as they're confirmed.

Question

What should we do between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

After the ceremony, you’ll have a little time before the party kicks off! You can head back to your nearby hotel to freshen up, then hop on the shuttle to the reception. If you’re in the mood to explore, Independence Square and Washington Square are right across from the Down Town Club, perfect spots for photos. You can also snap a few classy shots in the lobby of the Public Ledger Building. Feeling thirsty? Grab a drink nearby at PJ Clarke’s, Moriarty’s, or Red Owl Tavern before joining us for the celebration!

Question

Are there hotel blocks for guests?

Answer

Absolutely! We’ve reserved hotel blocks nearby to make things easy for our out-of-towners. You can find booking links and rates on the Travel page. We recommend booking early since summer weekends in Philly can fill up fast!

Question

Can I bring a plus-one? Are kids welcome?

Answer

If your invitation includes a guest’s name or says “and guest,” then yes! If not, we’d love to celebrate just with you (we promise there will be plenty of friendly faces to dance with!) We love your little ones, but this will be an adults-only celebration — only the kiddos we’ve specifically invited get a VIP pass!
