Brigid was moving from Dallas to Austin and had met Cole previously through mutual friends. Everyone who knows Brigid knows she is able to turn acquaintances into close friends and asked Cole if they could be friends while she got her bearings in her new city. Cole responded of course I'll be your friend and soon after the pair starting spending more time together and discovered it was love.

Cole took Brigid to his family friend's lakehouse under the guise that his grandma wanted some family photos. They had arrived a little earlier than the rest of the group and Cole suggested showing Brigid the property. Little did Brigid know, Cole's family and a photographer were waiting inside to capture pictures of the big moment. Brigid was looking at the beautiful view and when she turned around Cole was on one knee! Cole then planned an engagement getaway weekend including a few of Brigid and Cole's closest friends to celebrate their happy news!
