For any additional questions on travel, please contact our travel coordinator, Kevin Puebla, and his team at Paradise Weddings at the email below: guests@paradiseweddings.com
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

No need to RSVP just yet! We’re still finalizing our RSVP timeline. Invitations with full RSVP information will be sent closer to the wedding, with responses expected sometime in November. Rooms are already available within our reserved wedding block, and guests are encouraged to book through the block for the best rates and proximity to the celebration. More information can be found on the 'Travel' page!

Question

How do I book my room?

Answer

You can book your room through our Paradise Weddings team via email/phone, or on the booking site. More information on booking can be found on our 'Travel' tab. Once you confirm attendance, you can request a room and leave a $150 deposit to secure it.

Question

What are room payment deadlines?

Answer

The initial deposit is $150 per person. The second deposit is 50% of the room value (not including the initial $150) due on October 1st. The remaining balance is due on November 12. You can also pay in installments by requesting a payment link to make payments as you go! The last day a guest can book a room from our room block is October 1st.

Question

Which airport should I fly into?

Answer

Cancun International Airport (CUN)

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes! Our official dress code is Beach Cocktail Attire. Think cocktail attire with a seaside twist: bold hues, bright prints, and lightweight fabrics that move with the breeze. Flowy dresses, tropical or patterned outfits, and relaxed suits are perfect. Skip heavy fabrics and formal black—this is a celebration by the sea. Fun, polished, and comfortable enough to dance on the sand. Sandals and open-toed shoes are welcome. Weather permitting, this will be an outdoor ceremony & reception, so please be sure to dress accordingly.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes, however, we are only allowing children of family members at the ceremony, cocktail hour, & reception. Other guests may bring their children with them to the resort, but we ask that you make other accommodations for them by either hiring a care taker through the resort, or be leaving them with the resort's free Kids Klub that stays open until 10 pm. The Paradisus resort has allowed us a deal for 1 free child ages 5-12 per room, and any children under the age of 5 being completely free! This means more of our friends and family members can come and make a family vacation out of their stay, with lower all around costs. We kindly ask that all children be carefully watched by their parents during the reception, as we will be surrounded by pools, and a nearby beach. If your child is getting fussy during the ceremony, please be courteous and remove them from the venue.

Question

What is the difference between La Perla and Paradisus Playa del Carmen?

Answer

La Perla is adults-only, and Paradisus Playa del Carmen is the family-friendly side. If you are traveling with children, please be sure to reserve a room on the Play del Carmen side! If you are not traveling with any children, we highly encourage you to book on the La Perla side.

Question

Is there transportation to and from other hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony and following reception will take place at the Paradisus resort. We are encouraging all guests to book at the Paradisus through our designated room block on the Travel page. While the resort provides transport for guests staying at the Paradisus Playa del Carmen to and from the airport, no other transportation is provided for other hotels or resorts to the Paradisus for the ceremony. Airport transportation is optional and is paid at the final payment. The cost is $102 USD per person, round-trip. Car seats for children can be requested for $20 per child.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to venue capacity, we can only accommodate spouses and long-term partners. This means we are unfortunately unable to accommodate additional guests beyond those named on the invitation.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We are not registered at any stores! Since we are in our 30's, we already have everything we really need for our home. Instead, we are asking guests to donate funds towards us creating unforgettable memories together and helping us achieve our dream of visiting Japan. You can find more info on where and how to donate on our Registry page.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Of course! Please be sure to let us know in advance if you have a special dietary restriction that requires accommodation. We will make sure that you are taken care of and can safely eat and drink during our celebration.

Question

What is the policy for filming and posting on social media?

Answer

We kindly ask that you keep our wedding "unplugged" and refrain from taking any photos or videos at our ceremony. We want our guests to truly be in the moment with us during this special day. Once we kick into party mode with the cocktail hour & reception, we encourage you to film and snap as many shots as you'd like! We will have QR codes placed at each of the tables for guests to upload all their pictures and videos from the night to a saved album, so that we can relive the night again and again! We also ask that any social media posts use our hashtag, #BestRoommateEver, so that we can easily find them later.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Only a little offended you even had to ask yourself this question. Go get a drink, babe.

Question

Will you be live streaming your wedding?

Answer

We will be live streaming our ceremony for a handful of guests who are unable to travel celebrate with us in person. Please let us know if you are unable to attend in-person, but would like to be included virtually!

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

So glad you asked! Our wedding is on Friday, February 12, 2027. The following Sunday will be February 14, 2027. This means two things: - Valentine's Day - Superbowl LXI Our resort will have events going on to celebrate both!
