We’re Thai-ing the knot in Bangkok

It all began in 2018, when fate (and a mutual friend named Brad) brought us together at a food festival — the 626 Night Market in California. Bright had just started her first job, and Brad, Kevin’s best friend, happened to be her coworker. One introduction and a few street snacks later, something sparked. We spent that summer doing everything but admitting we liked each other — grabbing food after work nearly every day, going to concerts, and endlessly quoting The Office and Broad City. It wasn’t official… until Kevin casually asked at a night art show at The Broad Museum, “This is a date, right?” (Spoiler: it was.) Our first official date came shortly after in Laguna Beach, where we laughed through a stand-up set by none other than Creed from The Office — the most on-brand start to our love story. That same year, we took our first trip together to Portland, and since then, we’ve explored life one adventure at a time — from city lights to quiet deserts, with Joshua Tree forever holding a special place in our hearts. In 2019, Bright pulled off the ultimate surprise — throwing Kevin an unforgettable 29th birthday party with all of his closest friends. Little did we know, there would be even bigger surprises ahead. Travel quickly became a tradition, especially to Thailand, where each year we explore somewhere new — Chiang Mai in 2022, Phuket in 2023, and Khao Yai in 2024. On these trips, Kevin has been warmly welcomed by Bright’s family, who have shown him incredible places and made every visit feel like home. Years passed and joy kept finding space with 2024 filled with unforgettable moments. In January, Kevin asked Bright’s dad for his blessing to marry her. On our sixth Valentine’s Day together, we welcomed a 13-pound schnoodle named Boba, who instantly stole our hearts (and our socks). Then, in October, Kevin officially proposed — and Bright said yes… once again. And now… we're tying the knot (or shall we say, Thai-ing the knot!) in Bright’s hometown of Bangkok in June 2026, surrounded by the people who have been part of our journey. We can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with you.
