Kamryn transferred to Big Valley HS at the start of her and Briggs' junior year. They shared many classes that first day of school, including Briggs' favorite class ever... physics.
It was a fun day of shooting clays when Briggs decided it was time to ask Kamryn's dad for permission to date her. After a good 1 minute conversation followed by 20 minutes of hunting talk by Kamryn's dad, Briggs walked out and asked Kamryn if she would be his girlfriend. He took her on their first date with a ride in his boat to Garlic Brothers - cute, right?! Better yet, he didn't even bring a pole to fish.
Briggs and Kamryn enjoyed many adventures together and apart. California to Alabama, Argentina to Germany, and everywhere in between. They loved each other through four full years of long-distance and strengthened their relationship along the way.
It is now the last month of college before graduation when Briggs and Kamryn decide to meet back home for Easter weekend. They planned on taking graduation photos together, or so Kamryn thought. Both families met at Kamryn's house with cameras in hand as Briggs dropped to his knee and asked Kamryn if she would marry him. After the initial shock... she said YES!
We are excited to share that Briggs and Kamryn eloped in Alabama on June 3, 2025. After four years of constant love and commitment to one another, along with open discussions with family and mentors, they decided they were unbelievably ready to start their union as husband and wife.
Briggs and Kamryn would love for you to join them at Ironstone to celebrate and surround them with a community to support and guide their marriage.
